No one loves as fiercely as a mother … no one believes more strongly than does a mother … and no one is able to shape a child’s heart like a mother is able to do.

We wonder, what will normal look like in our future? Will life ever go back to the way it was pre-pandemic? How do we navigate life with peace and nurture a calm spirit, in these chaotic times?

There is great pain at the reality of what we see happening currently in America but there is a greater, more searing pain at the birthplace of these actions.

“You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.” (Psalm 65:11)

Although this event certainly doesn’t look or feel the way that you thought that it would only 3 months ago, let me assure you that graduation is only one day in a lifetime of wonder and unmatched joy.

In honor of Mother’s Day 2020 and of all of those intrepid women who are giving their lives to the joyful yet daunting task of motherhood, may I offer some advice from the heart of a mom who gave birth to 5 and wishes that she could do it all over again?!

I have arrived on your doorstep to take your emotional and spiritual temperature today … I sincerely want to know how you are doing in light of the stay at home orders and the pandemic.

I believe that right now, in the midst of this global pandemic, that the loving Father is calling us to Him in a “selah” moment of time.

What was Jesus thinking about when He hung on Calvary’s Cross? Let me just submit to you today that, I sincerely believe, Jesus was thinking about you and He was thinking about me. You and I were what kept Him on that cross.

There are “4-letter words” that must be a part of our daily reality as children of God.

In times like these, we will either strengthen our prayer life or we will weaken our faith with rampant and unneeded worry. I will choose to pray.

God didn’t create us to be a reservoir that is always taking and never giving; He created us to be a river that is always giving!

When we partner with God in the process … His goodness is infused into us and miraculously we become both creators of good times and purveyors of good times.
