We all long to be perfect moms—but that is not going to happen, dear one. Perfect is not a feasible option for any of us, but perhaps a better goal is wonderful.

I have often felt that peace plays hide and seek with me … it hides and I seek. Sometimes I find peace … but sometimes I don’t. I need peace … I want peace … but where IS peace?!

I have learned that when my circumstances are devastating and when my heart has been ripped to shreds that often my mind and my emotions will attempt to lie to me.

When I offered my “weeds” to the Father as a sacrifice of praise, they became a sweet smelling bouquet in the palace of eternity.

It seems like I have spent my entire life simply waiting for something ... or for someone ... or for God to move on my behalf.

When you apply the power of “honor” and “grace” to every situation in your life you will discover a rich way of living that is ignored by most.

Change is inevitable. Change can also be powerful. Change is often magnificent.

Don’t expect to extract peace from your circumstances … or hope from a person … or even agreement with a government. All of our hope comes from Jesus!

Are you ready to toss aside the disappointment of 2020 and then enthusiastically enter a new season of hope and steadfastness?

I believe that Christmas is more than just a day … it is more meaningful than a holiday season … and it holds more power than one month on the calendar can communicate.

Dearest Holy Spirit, Thank you so much for the very generous gifts that you have selected especially for me! How I love unwrapping each gift and thinking about all of the ways that I will be able to put each one to use in my life!

Where IS Christmas? This is a poignant yet meaningful question that we should all consider this first week of December in the momentous year of 2020.

We are the ones chosen by the loving hand of the Father to travel through the riveting times and challenging days of 2020.
