I was thinking about the intimate yet powerful conversations that I have had with the Father over the years – and I realized that I have four voices in which I speak with Him.

To me, that which is truly valuable, is not something that I can hold in my hands.

I knew that in spite of murders and compromise … in spite of politics and protests … I knew that there was still a deep goodness in America that would help us all through the difficult days ahead.

A mountain is simply anything that is too large, too massive and too fixed for a man or a woman to move beyond in their own strength.

This year on the Fourth of July, I am especially praying for, and weeping with the mothers and fathers who have lost their sons and daughters in service to our great nation.

Since I am now a certified expert on change, I’d just like to share with you a few things that might make your days of change just a little easier and a little sweeter.

God knew that while living this side of heaven that there would be people, events and issues that would break the hearts of His beloved children and so He has a plan for the most devastating moment in your life:

What if you had the opportunity every single day of your life from this day forward to walk into the living room of nearly every person you have ever met in your entire life? 

D-Day was about freedom … about paying a great price … about giving oneself so that others could live … about putting aside preference and ease for a call and a purpose greater than oneself.

I have spent years of my life frustrated because none of my prayers seemed to be answered.  Can any of you relate?  Come on now … don’t leave me alone here in the conundrum of prayer. 

I have also experienced great joy and victory simply because I decided to pray without ceasing.   

As I have done a painful self-examination of the savings account of my heart … I have come to realize what is important to me in terms of earth’s treasures.

The Lord wants you to have a spring in your step and a sparkle in your eye regardless of your finances, your health or your relationships.

I believe that the words “maternal” and “powerful” are not mutually exclusive but they create a glorious harmony that the world is waiting to hear! 

How wonderful to know that God is still on the throne of my life!

How wonderful to know that I am never alone!

How wonderful to know that joy is available to me every hour of every day!

I love the thrill of checking off even the smallest tasks on my perpetual “To-Do List”.
