Bold Believers Pray!

What are YOU praying for today?

Are you praying for a financial breakthrough?

Perhaps you are praying for a dearly-loved child to find the Lord …

Are you praying that the Lord would send you a Christian spouse?

Perhaps you are praying for a baby … or for a physical healing … or for the doors of destiny to open on your behalf …

Are you praying for a new job?  A new house?  A new car?  A new life?!

Maybe you are praying for all of the above!

My … my … my we DO keep God busy, don’t we?!

The most powerful people on the face of the planet in any generation are the people who actually pray!  It is not the people who talk about prayer … or those who feel compelled to teach about prayer … nor is it those who wish that they had the time to pray!

The most impactful people in history are those folks who actually get on their knees and cry out to God in prayer.

We all believe in prayer … but do you actually pray?

“I simply don’t have time to pray,” is the most common and boringly over-used excuse for the lack of communication with God.

Allow me to counter that whiney justification with this thought … powerful and bold people don’t have time to pray, either, but they do it anyway!

The truth of the matter is this … you don’t have the time NOT to pray!

If a man or a woman can spend time in prayer … then he or she is capable of anything!

Prayer is the power on earth that moves the hand of heaven.

The truth is this … you don’t have to be “good” at prayer to get God’s attention … you just have to mean it!

Bold believers pray first and talk second.

Bold believers pray first and act second.

Bold believers pray!

If you only pray when you get into trouble … then you are already in deep trouble!  If you only pray when you are in a battle … then you will stay in crisis mode the rest of your life!

The secret to prayer is a simple one.  A believer prays on his or her worst days … and a believer prays on his or her best days.  That’s the secret to prayer!

Consistent … insistent … prevailing and daily prayer is a bold and powerful lifestyle choice!  You cannot … you must not … separate prayer from who you are!

You are a warrior of the fiercest kind.  You are in an epic battle and your ability to win is intrinsically linked to your decision to fight on your knees.

Every single great thing that God wants to do in you and through you is linked to prayer.  If nothing goes up … then nothing will come down!  Got it?!!

Prayer can add years to your life and life to your years!

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16

The Holy Spirit is instructing you … even commanding you … to come boldly into His presence!  Tell God when you need help and ask for it boldly!

“Help!  Father, I need your help! Intervene in my life!”

I have learned in my prayer life to go to the Word of God and discover what God has to say about the current situation in which I have found myself.

If I am struggling financially … what does the Word say about provision?

“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” – II Corinthians 9:10

If I am in a health battle … what does the Bible promise about healing?

“Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.” – Matthew 4:23

If I am praying for a loved-one to follow Christ … what does the Bible say about prodigals or those who have doubts?

"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” – II Peter 3:9

If I am praying for a difficult relationship … then I must dig into the Bible and find out what the Holy Spirit has written concerning peace in relationships.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God … Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” – I John 4: 7 & 11.

When I pray, I am not giving God my opinion on the matter … but I am reminding Him of His promises toward His beloved children.  I am also reminding myself of God’s opinion on the matter that I am boldly bringing to Him!

Prayer was never meant to be the time set aside in your day when you laboriously and with a bit of panic in your voice reminded God of all of the problems that you are facing!

But, rather, prayer is meant to be the victorious moment in a believer’s life when we remind our problems who our God is!

We would love to pray for you today!  If you would like to send a prayer request to me at carol@justjoyministries.com, we have an entire prayer team who will take your requests boldly to the Throne Room of the Father!
